Terrific views of White Cloud range. A steep but short trail to an out-of-service Forest Service fire lookout, this hike offers magnificent 360 degree views of the Sawtooth, White Cloud and Boulder Mountains ranges. Take plenty of water on this difficult trail because there is none on the hike. Avoid this hike if there is any chance of thunderstorms or severe weather. The trail is well maintained and easy to follow. The trailhead is located off Valley Road and is signed. This is a good trail made difficult by its steepness and elevation.
