The Toxaway Lake Trail is moderate-difficult trail and it too has a stream crossing that can be difficult in high water. Beginning at Yellowbelly Lake makes the hike shorter but weigh the benefits against the roughness of the road to the lake. There are numerous other lakes on the way to Toxaway, and scenic stream and waterfall sections. This trail is well maintained and a highlight in the Sawtooth Wilderness. Campfires are not allowed in the Toxaway Lake drainage.
